About Sam
I’m currently in my first year of French and Spanish at MMU (advanced French, beginners Spanish) and I have experience teaching French GCSE students at my school during my A-Levels, which has given me valuable tutoring experience. I also did work experience at m-4 translations, a translating and interpreting company in Manchester, where I helped the French students there improve their English and gained an insight into many areas of work centred around languages.

Rather than simply regurgitating material, I find my teaching to be much more effective when it’s interactive. I keep the students engaged by asking questions as often as possible, creating mnemonics and stories to help students remember things better and keeping students entertained by expressing my personality. I also make sure students are never afraid of making mistakes, as that is what’s essential when it comes to learning properly.
