About Juliette
My name is Juliette, I am 25 years old and I am French.
After graduating from high school, I studied English language et literature in New York.
Then, I started a degree in political science & international relations and English language & literature, in Seoul at Korea University.
After that, I came back to France. I studied for a year in Paris, at a university called Panthéon-Assas. I particularly enjoyed the French, European and International law courses.
This coming autumn I will finish my degree in political science at Birkbeck University.
Along the way, I had various diverse professional experiences, especially in French tutoring.
I had students from 5 to 40 years old.
I was a tutor in Seoul and I am a tutor in London.
I am passionate about languages, writing, politic and law.

I adapt my methodology to each student.
As a trilingual, I figured out my own method to learn languages.
First, I explain how to form a sentence in French. Then, from that starting point, I dissect and explain the function of each word in a sentence. After that, I teach the tenses, the basic ones. No need to complicated the learning of the French language at first. As we go on with the lessons, I get more specific with the grammar rules, tenses and vocabulary.
I teach my student to speak French the same way that I learned it as a kid, I do not use a made-up method because French is not your native language. As well, I rarely used a theme to support my lessons.
By a theme, I mean the kind of lesson that you can find on French language books. For example, a lesson called "at the pharmacy" and in that chapter you will learn a grammar rule, a tense and some vocabulary. I do not believe in the effectiveness of that way to learn a language.
Obviously, I always check and correct pronunciation.
My method to learn French is particularly efficient if you are a beginner and/or not confident speaking French.
However, I can adapt my learning method if you have special needs.
