About Sarah

Hi there! I am from Plymouth in England and I have been in Australia for a few months now. I am passionate about teaching, and strive to get the best out of each and every one of my students, by making my lessons engaging, relevant and useful. I have a wide range of teaching experience which I have gained from various countries around the world, and I speak 3 foreign languages myself. I would love to help you on your own language-learning journey!

About the lesson

I use appropriate strategies and carefully-selected resources to suit the needs of each of my students. I like to get to know my student to make lessons as engaging and relevant as possible and I also encourage my students to use the target language wherever possible to increase their confidence. I have been teaching French, Spanish, Japanese and ESL for 16 years and have been a qualified teacher for the last 13 years. I have taught in state schools in my home country, the UK, as well as international schools in Japan, Canada, India, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. During this time, I have been a tutor for several students, both online and in person. I am available to teach all ages, both children and adults, whether for fun or in preparation for a particular exam. I have experience teaching and assessing the British GCSE, the International Baccalaureate and the DELF examinations.

I find it difficult to enunciate but due to her skills and teaching methods my daughter became so comfortable and fluent with the language that she is able to speak almost like naturalized speakers.
