About Chantal
I specialize in supporting children in developing strong French reading and writing skills through engaging, structured, and age-appropriate practice. As a certified teacher with extensive experience, I focus on building confidence in literacy by strengthening phonics, vocabulary, comprehension, and written expression. My approach is rooted in both Québecois and Franco-Ontarian language and culture, helping students connect meaningfully with the language while developing the skills they need to succeed in French immersion and beyond.

1 review
Perfect! Chantal is awesome. She replied very quickly to my initial inquiry, and she was very thorough with addressing my questions. I like how she prepared the first lesson around my objectives and how she proposed a clear development plan. Even if she mainly teaches kids, her demeanor allowed her to provide a comfortable space in the lesson for me as an adult to speak French despite making mistakes. I will be taking more lessons with Chantal and I look forward to my learning journey with her.
- Strengths: Great vocabulary, grammar, and clarity during speaking exercises.Chantal's response :
Next Steps: Continue to practise speaking in spontaneous situations.
