  • When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

My interest in languages began more than eight years ago, when I discovered how learning a new language could open doors to different cultures, perspectives, and opportunities. Over time, my passion for languages grew into a desire to share my knowledge with others and help students experience the same excitement and sense of achievement. Teaching has allowed me to combine my love of communication and cultural exchange with my interest in helping others reach their personal, academic, and professional goals.
  • What makes you passionate about your subject?

What I love most about languages is that they go far beyond grammar and vocabulary. They allow us to connect with people from different backgrounds, explore new cultures, and discover opportunities around the world. I particularly enjoy helping students move beyond memorising rules to communicating naturally and confidently. Whether a student is learning their first words, improving their fluency, participating in a French immersion program, or preparing for an important language examination, seeing their confidence grow and their hard work pay off is incredibly rewarding.
  • What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a “Superprof”?

With over eight years of teaching experience across different countries and learning environments, I have learned that every student has a unique learning style, set of goals, and pace of progress. What I enjoy most about tutoring is getting to know each student and creating personalised lessons that make learning both effective and enjoyable.

My teaching approach combines structured learning with practical communication, interactive exercises, and real-life examples. I work with students at different levels, from beginners building a strong foundation to advanced learners refining their skills. I also support students in French immersion programs, helping them strengthen their vocabulary, grammar, reading comprehension, writing, and oral communication. In addition, I help learners prepare for language examinations, including the DELF and DALF, as well as the TEF and TCF Canada for immigration purposes.

For me, being a Superprof means being patient, adaptable, encouraging, and genuinely invested in every student’s progress.
  • Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.

My greatest inspiration comes from teachers who understand that teaching is not simply about delivering information, but about helping students recognise their own potential. I admire educators who are patient, curious, and passionate about their subjects, and who can make even challenging concepts accessible and engaging.

These qualities have shaped my own teaching philosophy. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and exploring new ideas without fear of judgement. I strive to create a supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to challenge themselves, celebrate their progress, and develop a genuine interest in learning.
  • What are your keys to success?

I believe successful language learning comes down to consistency, personalised guidance, and the confidence to practise without fear of making mistakes. My approach is built around understanding each student’s objectives, establishing a clear learning plan, practising regularly through meaningful activities, and tracking progress over time.

I believe lessons should be engaging, practical, and adapted to each learner’s needs. By combining clear explanations, conversation practice, interactive exercises, and constructive feedback, I help students develop skills they can use in real-life situations, whether they are learning a new language, preparing for an examination, or keeping up with their French immersion studies.

Ultimately, my goal is not just to help students improve their language skills, but to give them the confidence, independence, and motivation to continue learning long after our lessons end.
