I am a French Journalist who have worked for over 20 years as the Chief of the Press Section of the United Nations. Have been an Instructor in advanced French for over 4 years at the Adult School of Montclair, with classes of 8 to 12 adults, and also gave private lessons to American professionals seeking to improve their knowledge.

We have been doing lots of reading from current French newspapers & magazines about every aspect of French or Francophone life and I encourage my students to comment and exchange opinions and ideas so that I can make corrections and observations whenever necessary. The classes are thus lively and entertaining, which is practically required since they are 2-hour long weekly. We also do a fair amount of writing (dictations) and discuss corrections, vocabulary and grammatical points. I do not give homes but strongly encourage my students to read on certain topics that we take up the following week.
