About Fantine

I’m a native French speaker, currently studying Political Science and History at the University of Queensland in Brisbane as part of my double degree.
I’ve been teaching French for 3 years, starting with academic support lessons for school-aged students. I then spent two years volunteering with a popular education association, teaching French to a wide range of learners, from primary and secondary school students to adults.
Whether you’re starting from scratch, improving your school French, or working towards fluency, I’ll help you make real progress - while enjoying the process.

About the lesson

Available on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

I adapt each lesson to your goals, level, and learning style.
We work on the four key skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) combining clear grammar explanations with real conversation, interactive exercises, and authentic materials such as songs, articles, and short videos.

I also offer academic support for school-aged children, focusing on reading comprehension, essay writing, grammar, and the formal French expected in schoolwork. This is particularly helpful for francophone or bilingual children who want to strengthen their academic French.

With 3 years of tutoring experience, I have also been trained by professional FLE (French as a Foreign Language) teachers, including through an intensive placement with a French language association. My approach therefore combines practical tutoring experience with professional teaching methods.
