Perfect! I took lessons with Chloe for over a year in preparation for a move to France. She adapted her lessons and structure to my needs, but also offered the flexibility to pivot to topics relevant to my situation at the time. For example, during one lesson we focused on key phrases (ordering at a restaurant, asking to try on a different size when shopping, communicating allergies, etc) since I was traveling to Paris the next week.

She documented notes from all our lessons so that I could review on my own, which was SO helpful. We split time between grammar and speaking, and what I appreciated most is that she accelerated my learning by focusing on common phrases/foundational grammar first, so that I could adjust to living in France more quickly without being completely fluent yet. She also taught me nuances in conversational French so that speaking with friends and others would feel more natural. I’ve taken group lessons in the past, but learned so much more with Chloe in half the amount of time. Aside from her teaching abilities, she’s also very kind and genuine— I truly felt she cared about me as a person. In the past, I’ve been self conscious speaking French but her patience and encouragement I would recommend her as a tutor to anyone!

Perfect! Chloe is an incredible teacher! I feel like I learned more in six weeks than I did in a year of high school French. She is organized, will tailor material to your level, is great at helping you learn pronunciation, creates interesting practice exercises, and will provide you lots of resources and cheat sheets to take with you and continue your learning. I was brushing up on my French before a work and vacation trip and really enjoyed our weekly classes. She definitely took my language skills to the next level.
