About Kayleigh
Hi my name is Kayleigh and I am currently working as a Foundation Doctor. I completed my first degree in Biomedical Science in 2018. I then went on to study Medicine at the University of Nottingham. Between and alongside my degrees, I have had almost 9 years experience working in the NHS, ranging from work in GP practices to a phlebotomist in a large teaching hospital. I have a friendly and approachable manner with a passion for being a doctor. My role as a doctor and in my previous NHS experience has provided me with a range of situations and scenarios to aid in my teaching, particularly for OSCE based assessments.
My current role as a Doctor has involved jobs in General Surgery and General Internal Medicine with my base ward in Cardiology. I have seen a range of patients and conditions and utilized my skills and knowledge from Medical School to help me thrive in this new role. Alongside my clinical role, I am involved in being a representative for the cohort, regularly working with senior in management and education to ensure F1 doctors' concerns are managed. I am currently undergoing a clinical audit with the Surgical department.
I have provided online tutoring to GCSE and A level students to improve their grades in science-based subjects. I have provided medical students with clinical bedside teaching and OSCE preparation, alongside a number of top tips and tricks for surviving life as a new doctor! I have assisted many students with application guidance and personal statement support ranging from undergradute, masters and postgraduate certifications. Helping individuals with time management, writing skills and assignments has also been part of my teaching approach, based on the individuals needs.

I offer an individual and personalised teaching style based on your particular needs and areas of concern. In the free 30 minute lesson, we will make a plan for a long term goals and what you want to gain from our sessions. Each individual lesson will also have clear goals and outcomes, these can be based on things you have learnt that week or areas which you need extra support with. I can provide a combination of curriculum-based resources, verified materials and experience to provide you with a well rounded tutoring session with some tips and tricks on how to be an efficient and effective student or doctor along the way!
