About Geoff

Hi, I'm Geoff, and I'm an accomplished guitarist with years of experience playing music. I've been playing the guitar since I was 10 years old, and it quickly became my passion. Over the years, I've played in a variety of bands, performed at all sorts of venues, and even taught others how to play the guitar.

Through years of dedication and practice, I've developed a unique style and sound that is all my own. I take pride in my skills and expertise, and I'm always looking for new ways to push myself and expand my musical knowledge.

As a musician, I'm highly respected in the industry and sought after as a collaborator. My love for the guitar is unwavering, and I'm always striving to push the boundaries of what is possible with the instrument.

I truly believe that music has the power to change lives, and I'm honoured to be a part of the industry. With my experience and passion for guitar playing, I'm confident that I can make a meaningful impact on the world of music and help you learn and do the same.

If you're interested in learning how to play the guitar, we'll start with the basics. Depending on your current level, we'll go over the different parts of the guitar, how to hold it properly, and where to place your fingers to get started. We'll also cover some basic music theory to help you understand how music works.

Once you have a good grasp of the basics, we'll move on to learning some chords. Chords are the building blocks of most songs, and we'll start with the common chords such as C, G, D, A, and E. We can then move on to bar chords and power chords. We'll work on proper finger positioning and strumming techniques so you can start playing songs as soon as possible.

Speaking of songs, we'll learn some popular tunes that use the chords you've learned. Starting with easy songs, we'll gradually increase the difficulty so you can challenge yourself and improve your skills.

As we progress, we'll also introduce scales such as the major and minor scales. This will help you understand how melodies are constructed and improve your ability to create your own music.

We'll also work on proper guitar techniques like alternate picking, hammer-ons, pull-offs, and slides. These techniques will help you play more complex music and improve your overall guitar skills.

Throughout your guitar lessons, we'll continue to teach music theory as it relates to guitar playing, including chord progressions, key signatures, and rhythm.

To get the most out of your lessons, it's important to practice regularly. We'll provide guidance on how to practice effectively and give you exercises to build finger strength and dexterity.

Finally, we'll give you opportunities to perform in front of others, whether it's in a formal setting or just for friends and family. This will help you build confidence and reinforce your learning.

With dedication and practice, you'll be able to master the guitar and enjoy the many rewards that come with playing music.

Lessons Run for 45 Minutes giving you time at the end to discuss what we have gone over and what we should plan for the following lesson. My Lessons are for all ages and great for beginner to intermediate players, If you are more experienced and happy with techniques like pinch Harmonics and hammer & pull off please contact me to discuss how I can help your progress.
