About Theo
Chess has been a part of my life for 12 years and I am passionate about teaching. Three years of medical training has given me a great skillset in processing complex theories and information and explaining them at different levels of assumed knowledge. Whether you’re looking to have some fun or preparing for a tournament, I’m the man for you.

My lessons are student-centered and tailored to the needs of the student. In practice this could be offering more casual lessons in the form of games and talking through moves, ideas, strategies and tactics. This format is usually more beneficial for hobbyists or casual players.
We will set achievable goals from the very first of our lessons. These can vary from mental exercise to increasing your rating the fastest way possible. Our lessons could be more theory based, studying chess as a subject rather than just casual play.
The theory aspect would be delivered partly in a lecture style combined with puzzles. Homework could include to read books/ watch instructional chess content. All homework will be consolidated from previous lessons.
