About Ryan
Hi, I'm Ryan.
I am a student at Knox Grammar School in Wahroonga with a strong interest in German and Maths where I am an accelerant in both subjects meaning I will be sitting my HSC next year for those subjects.
I am drawn to these subjects as it allows for vocational abilities where I can utilize this in my day to day life. It works closely with businesses across various industries allowing us to understand how they operate, where they face challenges and how strategic thinking can drive meaningful outcomes. I am committed to develop the useful foundations of subjects to help students excel.
In school, I am committed to various leadership roles in which I must undertake. For example, I have founded the Languages departments first ever club for German with over 15+ members involved within the first month. I also mentor and lead junior recruits, supporting training activities while developing leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
Outside the classroom, I serve as a leader in the community, where I have founded my non-profit organization where students conversate with seniors to raise awareness for mental health. We have partnered with external organizations around Sydney, one having raised 100k+ in fundraising for their cause.

Teaching Approach & Methodology
My tutoring style is student-centered, practical, and engaging. I focus on building confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing through real-life communication rather than rote memorization. Lessons are tailored to each student’s goals in German whether that’s passing exams, or developing conversational fluency.
I've made an extensive guide on how to ace German for starters detailing all the grammar topics needed, what is the HSC like for German Language subjects and tips and tricks from state-rankers in the German field.
I will aim to develop students through the following methods:
Communicative method: Encouraging students to speak from the start, even at beginner level
Structured grammar support: Breaking down complex rules into simple, usable patterns
Context-based learning: Vocabulary and grammar taught through real situations (e.g., ordering food, job interviews)
Active recall & repetition: Reinforcing learning through practice and spaced repetition
Error correction with explanation: Helping students understand why something is incorrect
Typical Lesson Length:
