About Semra
I am a First-Class Mathematics with Finance graduate with over three years of experience tutoring mathematics. I also have experience working in schools as a Cover Supervisor, where I developed strong classroom management, communication and student-support skills.
I enjoy helping students become more confident in maths, especially when they have previously found the subject difficult or frustrating. I am patient, approachable and believe that every student can improve when topics are explained in a way that suits their learning style.
My aim is not only to help students achieve better results, but also to help them develop the confidence and problem-solving skills they need to work independently.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s level, confidence and individual learning needs. I start by identifying any gaps in understanding and then work through topics step by step using clear explanations, worked examples and practice questions.
I aim to make maths feel less intimidating and help students understand why a method works rather than simply memorising answers. Lessons can focus on homework support, strengthening key topics, revision, exam preparation or building general confidence in maths.
I have over three years of experience tutoring mathematics and also have classroom experience as a Cover Supervisor. I hold a First-Class Honours degree in Mathematics with Finance. My lessons are friendly, patient and structured, with the aim of helping every student become more confident and independent in solving maths problems.
