About Dante
Hi! I’m Danté, a passionate, patient and approachable tutor with 3 years of tutoring experience. I’m currently completing my BSc in Information Technology, and I genuinely enjoy helping learners develop both their understanding and confidence in Mathematics.
I believe that every learner is capable of succeeding in Maths, but sometimes a concept simply needs to be explained in a different way. I understand how frustrating it can be when something doesn’t make sense immediately, which is why I’m patient and willing to approach a problem from different angles until it clicks.
My favourite part of tutoring is reaching that “light-bulb moment” together — when a learner suddenly understands something that seemed impossible just moments before. Seeing that confidence grow is what makes tutoring so rewarding for me.
I aim to create a comfortable environment where learners feel confident asking questions, making mistakes and trying again without feeling judged. My goal isn’t just to improve marks, but to help learners understand why something works and become more confident and independent in their own abilities.
I currently tutor Grade 8–10 CAPS Mathematics in both Afrikaans and English, while actively working through the Grade 11 and 12 CAPS curriculum to expand the levels I can confidently teach.

With 3 years of tutoring experience, my lessons are personalised, supportive and focused on helping learners truly understand Mathematics rather than simply memorising formulae. I understand the struggle of not understanding something the first time because I have experienced it myself, which allows me to be patient, approachable and explain concepts in different ways until they make sense. I adapt each lesson to the learner’s level, strengths and areas of difficulty. I teach Grade 8–10 CAPS Mathematics in both Afrikaans and English. Lessons can include concept explanations, worked examples, guided practice, problem-solving and exam preparation. I am also actively working through and strengthening my knowledge of the Grade 11 and 12 CAPS curriculum so that I can expand the levels I confidently teach.
