About Umaimah

I am currently a student myself, so I understand how each learner has unique needs and how much of a difference one-to-one tutoring can make. I know that having lessons tailored specifically to a student’s strengths and challenges can boost confidence, make learning more enjoyable, and help achieve the best possible results. I have a passion for English and enjoy helping students develop their skills while building confidence and a genuine love of learning. I aim to make every lesson engaging and interactive, using a variety of activities tailored to each student’s level. Whether it is reading comprehension, creative writing, grammar, or essay structure, I focus on helping students understand concepts clearly and develop practical skills they can use in school and beyond. I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my approach to suit individual learning styles, providing encouragement, guidance, and constructive feedback along the way. My goal is to create a positive, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, exploring ideas, and challenging themselves. Teaching allows me to combine my enthusiasm for English with my enjoyment of supporting others in achieving their goals. I truly enjoy seeing students grow in confidence and ability, and I strive to make learning both productive and enjoyable.

About the lesson

I offer personalised English lessons for students of all ages, from 7+ to exam-level study. For younger learners (7+), lessons focus on reading comprehension, spelling, grammar, vocabulary, and creative writing, using fun and interactive activities to build confidence and a love of English. For older students, including 11+ and beyond, lessons cover essay structure, text analysis, comprehension strategies, creative writing, and practical exam techniques to help students achieve their best results. My approach is friendly, patient, and supportive, with lessons tailored to each student’s level and needs. Sessions are interactive, with step-by-step guidance, practice exercises, and opportunities to develop independent learning skills. Lessons are offered online or in person, typically lasting 30–60 minutes, with flexible scheduling to suit school and other commitments.
