About Aliana
Hi! I’m a friendly, enthusiastic and dedicated tutor who enjoys helping younger students learn and grow in confidence. Having recently completed my GCSEs, I understand the importance of effective preparation and staying motivated when working towards an important goal. I’m passionate about creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I want to tutor because I enjoy helping others understand topics they may initially find challenging, and it is incredibly rewarding to see students become more confident in their abilities. I am reliable, patient and committed to making every lesson productive, encouraging and enjoyable.

My approach to tutoring is friendly, patient and personalised. I adapt each lesson to the student’s strengths, weaknesses and learning style, making sure they understand each topic rather than simply memorising answers. I use clear explanations, worked examples, practice questions and exam-style exercises to help students develop both their knowledge and confidence.
Lessons will typically last 60 minutes, with the pace adjusted depending on the student’s age and concentration. I can also provide additional practice or revision activities where appropriate.
I have recently completed my GCSEs and achieved strong results across a range of subjects. I also have experience supporting younger students with reading and learning, which has helped me develop patience, clear communication and the ability to explain concepts in an accessible way.
My lessons are aimed at primary-school students preparing for the 11+ entrance exams, particularly students who would benefit from additional support with Maths, English, verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning. Whether a student is just beginning their preparation or needs extra practice before the exam, I aim to create a positive and encouraging learning environment.
