Hi! My name is Amy, and I am a recent graduate of the University of Cambridge, where I completed my degree in Human, Social and Political Sciences. Coming from a state school in which support during university admissions felt limited, I understand how intimidating the process can feel, particularly writing your personal statement. Applying to university can be daunting and it is often hard to know where to start. Schools cannot always offer in-depth personalised advice on your personal statement so I am here to do that for you! If you are interested, I offer a free initial call to get to know you. Once I have an idea of your expectations, the courses you intend to apply to and your current ideas, I would recommend two sessions minimum in order to maximise what I can offer you: In the first session, we can run through your existing qualifications, achievements and experiences and how these can be used to illustrate your suitability to your course. Depending on your subject I can advise different attainable extra and super-curriculars for you to include to help your personal statement to stand out even more. We can then begin to discuss how you may want to structure your personal statement. I can then proofread your draft, making edits as I see fit. In the second session we can look over the draft you have provided and my suggestions. We can discuss any improvements you may want to make and ensure you are presenting the best version of yourself.
