About Oscar
Hi! My name is Oscar and I am very passionate about mathematics and science. Studying at a world leading university has opened my eyes to the possibilities with an education in the sciences. I am always on the lookout to encourage talent into the sciences as many miss out on going into such an interesting area of academia. I recently (June 2023) graduated in Physical Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge with an MSc and a BA. I specialised in physics and mathematics. At A-Level I achieved 4A*s in maths, further maths, physics and chemistry. I also achieved A*s in all of these subjects at GCSE. In further maths A-Level I achieved 293 marks out of 300. I am capable to tutor up to A-Level standard in maths, further maths and physics. I can also tutor in Oxbridge entrance exams such as the PAT and the NSAA. I have had success with multiple students securing Oxbridge places through my online tutoring. I have also had experience with teaching younger children at summer camps as well as tutoring up to A-Level. I am able to approach problems laterally to help students understand challenging concepts. I also have a strong belief in going through questions to help pupils perform in exams. Outside of academia, I play hockey and football. Team games are great for socialising as well as building an understanding of cooperation with others. Oscar was extremely helpful when tutoring my daughter Rosie for the PAT and interviews for Physics at Oxford. He can clearly offer alot as someone who has recently been through the process and is currently studying at Cambridge.
He has been more helpful than what I have heard from other parents about Oxbridge admissions tutors that have not been through the process themselves or if so not recent enough.Oscar taught my son, Max, online during the first Covid lockdown and into the Summer. He helped him greatly come along with his A-Level physics as well as for the Cambridge interviews and admission test - the NSAA.
