About Michael

Hello! I’m Michael, a qualified ESOL teacher based in Glasgow with nearly 20 years’ experience in education. I recently completed my CELTA (Pass) through an intensive, in-person course with supervised teaching practice and currently teach adult ESOL learners from Beginner to Pre-Intermediate level.

I believe learning English should be enjoyable, practical and tailored to each learner. Whether you’re learning English for work, study, travel or everyday life, I’ll create lessons that build your confidence and help you achieve your goals in a relaxed, supportive environment.

Outside the classroom, I’m a husband and dad to two young children who keep me very busy! In my spare time, I enjoy playing golf and tennis whenever I get the chance, going to the cinema and following a wide range of sports. I enjoy meeting people from different cultures and look forward to helping you improve your English with lessons that are engaging, encouraging and enjoyable.

My lessons are friendly, supportive and learner-centred. I adapt every lesson to suit your interests, learning style and level, creating a relaxed environment where you’ll feel comfortable asking questions and speaking English from day one.
