About Matthew
I am a recent graduate from Imperial College London with a BSc in Geophysics, and I will return this September to study an MSc in Environmental Technology.
I am well-placed to tutor your student, and could offer qualified knowledge within Maths, English, Geography, Science and Reasoning to your primary, school-entry, secondary key stage and beyond students for private tuition and exam preparation. I have patiently worked through a significant number of learning techniques to find ongoing academic success, and I know that I would be similarly dynamic in teaching your students, as I fully recognise the individuality of each students needs. I do believe a passion for the taught subjects listed above is needed for any success and I would absolutely love the opportunity to share the knowledge I have gained over my academic career with your students.
I have consistently proven my excellent interpersonal and communication skills, receiving glowing reports from each of the customer facing roles I have occupied. Furthermore, I held the volunteer position of Year Representative for my department and peers for the duration of my degree - I efficiently communicated the feedback from students and offered innovative solutions at student-staff consultative meetings. The standard to which I fulfilled this role is represented by my re-election each year. Throughout my degree, I also used this opportunity to tutor and guide the new representatives to occupy the role in the most effective way possible. I recently won a pitch competition at an entrepreneurship event for new business ideas in The Netherlands, to further evidence my communication skills in a broad range of contexts. Outside of my studies, I have a great passion for live music and theatre. I perform, write and attend performances weekly, and I consider this relevant to my confidence, an essential attribute for this position as tutor.
In terms of organisation, I believe that completing any of the hugely time-intensive courses at Imperial, alongside employment and demanding hobby timetables show the necessary time management skills for the role. Success in my degree with a positive result required great personal administration skills, essential for tracking student progress in order to optimise the effectiveness of my support. I am further building on these skills, while maintaining my problem solving abilities in my current role as a Business Analyst for a management consultancy firm based in Liverpool.
I hope that this Bio suits what you are looking for. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with me!
Kind regards,
Matt

I work with Matt on a daily basis as a fellow Business Analyst at Vantage. He clearly demonstrates all of the relevant numerical, reasoning and computer based skills that his qualifications would suggest. I also believe he is a great communicator, which will be essential for the role as tutor - he has written numerous sections for influential business cases and also for our annual report on the state of the UK Social Housing Sector. As a person, he is great to work with, sticks to deadlines well and can be trusted with any task, which he will approach with integrity and determination. He would be great in this position, and would surely succeed in tutoring with your students.
