About Rob
I’m a full-time professional photographer with 15 years’ experience, specialising in weddings, events, portraits, nature, and creative projects. My work has earned five Fearless Photographer awards and two Viewbug competition wins. I’m passionate about vibrant, well-crafted images, with a strong focus on creative use of light, thoughtful composition, and timing. I believe experience speaks louder than certificates - my photographs are my qualifications. I love mentoring others, helping students find their own photographic voice. My feedback is honest, fair, and constructive, delivered in a relaxed, non-judgemental way to help you grow. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to refine advanced techniques, my lessons are individually tailored, practical, and designed to inspire confidence in your photography.

My lessons are highly tailored to each student, focusing on the areas they most want to develop. Whether you’re picking up a camera for the first time or looking to refine advanced skills, I adapt the approach to suit your level and goals. I cover a wide range of photography styles, including weddings and events, portraits, nature, and creative personal projects. I use a mix of methods, combining clear explanations with hands-on practice, practical exercises, and constructive feedback on your images. Lessons last one hour, and can be arranged either online or in person if you’re local to north Manchester. Out-and-about walking lessons with our cameras, either in the city or out in nature, are also a great option (weather permitting...or even if it's not and you're feeling adventurous!). With years of experience as a full-time professional photographer, I’ve not only mentored individuals but also delivered workshops for other photographers in the industry. My aim is to go beyond simply teaching the technical side of photography. I want students to feel confident in spotting photographic opportunities as they arise, understand how to respond to them, and ultimately create images they’re proud of.
