About Henry
I graduated from Brisbane Grammar School with an OP2 (ATAR 98.65) have always had a passion for English and History. My inspiring teachers encouraged me to pursue education, and now I am in my fifth year of teaching.
I have taught both English and History in a range of private boys' and girls' schools in Queensland which afford me the curriculum expertise to help you with your subjects. Let me understand your goals, skills and weaknesses and I'll do my best to best support you in your academic endeavours.

Lessons will be personalised, engaging, and tailored towards the needs of each student. My aim is to not only address any deficiencies in my students but to bolster and nurture their innate strengths.
Writing, in particular, is a process of refinement: I provide students with the structural, cognitive, and the practical tools to help them write with greater purpose and clarity.
I will also provide targeted assistance with enhancing skills required for senior History: I have taught both Ancient and Modern at a secondary level.
More importantly, my pedagogical philosophy is to instill and support a mindset which is conducive to deep and purposeful learning: In my lessons, I try to nuture a sense of natural curiosity and an intrinsic culture of deep and considered thinking.
Lessons are usually 1 hour long but this can be negotiated if required. For senior students, I am happy for them to pivot the focus of each lesson - whether they want to focus on curriculum work, planning, or drafting of assessments.
