About Garry
Full time tutor, having successfully tutored many hundred of students, of all abilities. Over the last 12 years. I guarantee results. Identifying the students learning style, communicating effectively and building upon solid foundations.
As a holder of enhanced DBS certification, I have worked in many secondary schools in Cambridgeshire. Working closely with overstretched departments, and providing input, on best practice. Gaining a reputation for inspiring "disinterested" students.
Previously, I was a Forensic Scientist for 12 years, having studied marine biology and biochemistry at university, gaining a BSc(hons).
Then gaining a teaching qualification.
I am Passionate about education, general knowledge buff and most importantly Daddy to my two young children.

I target a students learning style using the VARK system, which produces enhanced results.
Students learn more effectively when they enjoy what is being taught, I have been told that I make lessons enjoyable by making my enthusiasm infectious.
Building upon solid foundations of understanding and then hanging facts onto this firm core. I use a VARK (visual, aural, reading, and kinesthetic) system to identify and target learning style.
I also specialise in homeschooled students where I can use these skills to motivate and inspire and help them to see a clear path ahead. Total support is vital, study plans, resources and how to be successful in examinations are crucial.
