About Lydia
Hello! I'm Lydia. After spending a year as a full-time teacher in the education system, I have made the decision to seek a better work-life balance with tutoring. I believe this balance actually makes me a better, more stable and well-rounded educator. Indeed, as a creative person, I think it is essential for young people and adults to be able to express themselves and pursue their personal interests in order to maintain good mental health. I am looking to support young people in their education following a very tough few years during the pandemic by catering to their individual needs and interests.

Hi! The key word I would use to describe my teaching style is adaptive. I believe the best teachers have to mould themselves to the needs and interests of their students in order to connect, relate and support them to learn most effectively. At the moment, I am using Pokémon based worksheets to connect to a young boy and his understanding of the world whilst also teaching English Language and Literature skills through the work of a young lady's favourite writers. I offer lessons that vary between 1 to 1.5 hours, and vary my rates depending on the age of the child and the qualification they are preparing for. I offer tuition in Early Years literacy up to GCSE/
