About Bethany
I am a qualified primary teacher who is passionate about supporting children to feel confident, capable and positive about their learning. I chose to teach because I genuinely enjoy helping children grow, develop and discover what they are able to achieve. I take time to understand each child as an individual, recognising that every learner has different strengths, needs and ways of learning. I adapt my approach to meet those needs, using patient, supportive and engaging methods to help children make progress at their own pace. Building strong, trusting relationships is at the heart of my teaching, as I believe children learn best when they feel safe, understood and encouraged

Hi I’m a qualified primary school teacher of six years currently working part-time, specialising in early reading, phonics and Key Stage 1 maths.
I support children in:
• Phonics and early reading
• Blending and segmenting
• Reading confidence and fluency
• Year 1 Phonics Screening preparation.
• KS1 maths (number bonds, place value, problem solving)
My sessions are calm, structured and confidence-building. I tailor lessons to each child’s needs and keep parents updated on progress and next steps. I have a successful record of getting results for children who are scoring considerably low on phonics screening to passing successfully.
I’m passionate about helping children grow in confidence, so they begin to enjoy learning and believe in their own abilities
