About Sarah Andrea
I am a theatre major graduate from Simon Fraser University, yoga teacher and have experience working with children from under 1 year to young adult. I firmly believe learning through the arts is a powerful way to make connections and help children reach their full potential. As a drama teacher for children 6 - 10 years, I have fun and engaging techniques to help new readers develop a love for reading as well as confidence reading out loud.

I use child lead techniques for a positive learning environment. Using movement and expressive language I engage children in the story and encourage their love for reading. I focus on building confidence reading out loud and expressively. Helping learners sound out letters and develop skills to problem solve when faced with a challenging word. Using letter sounds and placement of sounds to help with pronunciation and diction.
