Hi! I’m Ai
I’m half Japanese and Filipino, originally from Fukuoka.
I teach Japanese in a fun and relaxed way, focusing on practical language for travel, personal interest, or everyday conversation. If students want something more structured, I can also teach using university-style textbooks or create lessons for business Japanese.
My goal is to make learning Japanese enjoyable, supportive, and easy to follow for every student.

Welcome to my class! I want this to be a fun and comfortable space where you can be yourself and enjoy learning.
I’ll guide you based on what you want to achieve and what you need help with. Depending on your current skills, I’ll suggest what you should start with and help guide you from there step by step. My classes can also be very casual — if you simply want to practice talking and build confidence speaking Japanese, we can do that too! I specialize in beginner-level Japanese, including Japanese pronunciation, Japanese alphabets (Hiragana and Katakana), and up to 3rd grade level Kanji. There’s absolutely no pressure in my class. You can ask questions freely, make mistakes, and learn at your own pace while we practice together in a fun and supportive environment. 🥹
