About Amirah
I am a second year medical student at the University of Sheffield. I have been a tutor for the past three years and have helped students increase their grades by using active recall and also understanding what examiners are looking for in certain questions. I have taken students who have not understood relevant exam techniques and helped them boost their grades, and this is very gratifying and rewarding to me.

About the lesson

The first 20-30 minutes of the lesson is focused around understanding the concepts being taught, which I will break down step by step. I will then use active recall via exam questions for the remaining time of the lesson, and a starter in the following lesson to ensure proper consolidation and also implement spaced repetition. This means that the content is likely to be recalled more effectively in exam conditions. I do also set homework as and when required, particularly if I feel the student would benefit from extra practice.
