With over 30 years of teaching and examining experience, I offer clear, supportive, and expertly tailored maths tuition. My professional background and calm, structured approach help students feel confident, capable, and fully reassured they’re learning with a trusted, experienced educator.
Previously, I have worked as a Head of Department and Assistant Principal.

About the lesson

Techniques and Teaching Methodology
I take a clear, supportive, and tailored approach to teaching. I break topics down into manageable steps, use a range of examples, and adapt explanations to suit each student’s learning style. I focus on developing strong problem-solving skills and exam technique so students feel fully prepared and capable. Lessons are fully tailored to each student, helping them build confidence and achieve their full potential.
Typical Lesson Length
Most lessons are 60 minutes, giving enough time for explanation, guided practice, and consolidation.
Qualifications and Experience
I am an experienced Maths teacher and Examiner with over 30 years of teaching GCSE and A-level Mathematics, both in the UK and internationally. My experience as an Examiner provides valuable insight into what examiners look for and how students can maximise their marks.
Who My Lessons Are For
I primarily teach GCSE and A-level students, but I can also support KS3 learners who want to build a strong foundation before moving up to GCSE. I work with students of all abilities, from those needing confidence-boosting support to those aiming for top grades.
