About Julia

Hi! I’m a recent Cambridge University graduate in Spanish and French, and I’ve just finished a year working as a secondary school languages teacher. I taught Spanish and French to students from Year 7 all the way up to GCSE and A-Level – so I’m very familiar with the curriculum, the exams, and how to help students succeed at every stage.

My time in the classroom gave me lots of practical experience in making lessons engaging, clear, and suited to different learning styles. I know how to explain tricky grammar points, build up speaking confidence, and help students feel prepared (and less stressed!) for exams.

I can help with everything from building confidence in speaking and listening to perfecting writing and translation skills for the exam. About the lesson

My lessons are all about supporting you with what you need most. I specialise in helping students with the challenges they are facing right now – whether that’s homework, revision, class tests, or feedback from teachers that you want to improve on. If there's something you've found tricky in class or an area you're unsure about, that’s exactly where we’ll start.

Each session is tailored to you. I encourage students to bring any work they’re struggling with so we can break it down together, go over any confusing parts, and build confidence in those areas. From there, I’ll create additional explanations, exercises, or practice tasks to reinforce your understanding and help you progress.

This approach means we’re always working on what’s most relevant to you and your learning journey – whether you're aiming to boost your grades, prepare for an exam, or just feel more confident in lessons.
