About Spiros

Hi, I’m Spiros Aristodemou!

I’m a passionate tutor specialising in Maths, Physics, and Spanish, and teaching has always been a big part of my life. As someone who’s a quarter Colombian, my connection to the Spanish language and culture runs deep. My mum, who is half Colombian and grew up in Colombia, is a Spanish tutor herself, and her passion for teaching and her cultural background have had a huge influence on me. Watching her teach and inspire her students showed me just how rewarding it can be to help others grow in both confidence and skill. Seeing how she brought the language to life—from grammar to storytelling—sparked my own interest in sharing my knowledge with others.

Why I Want to Teach: For me, tutoring is about more than just helping students achieve good grades. It’s about empowering them to believe in their abilities, overcome challenges, and develop a deeper understanding of what they’re learning. I know how frustrating it can be to feel stuck, but I also know the difference that personalised support and encouragement can make. I aim to create a learning environment where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow with every session.

Whether you’re preparing for exams, struggling with tricky concepts, or aiming to improve your conversational Spanish, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. I’m excited to share my passion for learning—and for Spanish culture—with my students. Together, we’ll unlock your potential and build the skills and confidence you need to succeed!

Tailored to Your Goals: Whether you’re aiming to boost your grades, prepare for exams, or improve conversational fluency, I’ll adjust each session to meet your specific needs and level of confidence.

Grammar Made Simple: I break down tricky grammar concepts into easy-to-digest explanations, using examples and visual aids to ensure full understanding. Immersive Learning: To build your listening and comprehension skills, I incorporate Spanish songs, videos, and cultural references to make learning enjoyable and practical.

Building Confidence: I focus on creating a positive learning environment where you feel comfortable taking risks and making mistakes—because that’s where the real learning happens! With every session, my goal is to help you grow in both skill and confidence.
