About Martina
I have been teaching swimming for the past year and have a real passion for water safety. I have my working with children check, first aid and CPR updated yearly. Every child is different and I take that into consideration when I'm teaching, some may take minutes to put their eyes in the water and others a week, I will work with them to boost their confidence and also have fun along the way.

I find that when I teach students they respond better to having fun and humor, so I take this into consideration. When anyone is having fun they become more invested in the activity and is more likely to remember how to do the activity. I make sure that the students understand how to do the strokes through verbal communication, visual demonstration and even safe hands-on correction. When they are able to compleat the swimming stroke confidently and in a way that it dose not need correction I will then move onto some more complex strokes, for example, if a student cannot do freestyle arms i wouldn't introduce butterfly arms
