About Alex
I love Chemistry and working with Students. I graduated from Cal Poly SLO with a B.S. in Chemistry in March 2024. I am now pursuing a high school chemistry teaching credential. I have worked with students of all ages in academic settings all the way from 2nd grade to college students. I have private tutored college level chemistry for 2 years and I love sharing my passion for science and chemistry with others.

I tutor any high school and undergraduate college level General Chemistry and basic organic chemistry courses.
I adapt my time with students to meet their needs. Students bring homework/practice questions that they need help with. Through this I assess what topics/concepts need more attention, and will provide helpful strategies, tips, and practice questions as needed.
I am training to become a high school teacher, and implement inquiry based pedagogy to better engage students and improve their learning. Instead of showing you an answer, I'll help you to understand how the answer is achieved and ask you carefully curated questions to get you to the right answer, so you're best equipped for your exams and coursework.
