About Vika
I am a passionate and reliable Flute tutor with over 7 years of teaching experience. I work with School students, College students, and working professionals who wish to learn flute for academics, performance, or personal interest.
My teaching approach is organised and easy to understand. I start with posture, breathing support, finger techniques, and tone development. As students improve, I introduce scales, rhythm patterns, and musical pieces.
I strongly believe in clear communication and accountability. I explain lessons in simple words and give regular feedback. Practice goals are set and reviewed to ensure steady progress. I teach with honesty and integrity.
In addition to flute lessons, I also teach music theory, notation reading, rhythm exercises, and basic performance skills. I support students in preparing for exams and performances.
My unique strength is my calm and patient teaching style. I adapt lessons to suit different age groups and learning speeds.

I teach flute using a methodology centred on Communication, Creativity, and Flexibility, designed to help students grow into skilled, expressive, and confident musicians. I begin by assessing each student’s experience, goals, and learning style, tailoring lessons to meet their individual needs.
Communication is essential—I explain techniques such as posture, breath control, finger placement, articulation, phrasing, and sight-reading in a clear, structured, and approachable manner. Students are encouraged to ask questions, explore new ideas, and actively participate, fostering independence and motivation.
Creativity is integral to my approach. Students are guided to experiment with improvisation, explore diverse musical genres, and develop unique interpretations of pieces. I also include exercises in composition and personal expression, encouraging students to discover their own artistic voice. Flexibility allows me to adapt lessons according to the student’s pace, strengths, and areas of challenge, ensuring lessons remain personalised, motivating, and effective.
Alongside flute performance, I integrate music theory, rhythm, sight-reading, and ear training to develop well-rounded musicianship. My methodology ensures students achieve technical proficiency, expressive performance skills, and musical confidence, while fostering a lifelong love for music and a deep connection to their instrument.
