I have always been deeply captivated by the richness of German literature and the powerful narratives that shape the cultural landscape of the German-speaking world. My academic journey reflects this passion, beginning with an MA in German from the University of St Andrews in Scotland, where I immersed myself in the literary and cultural traditions of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

My love for German literature is broad and includes an admiration for the works of various influential German authors. These authors have deeply influenced my understanding of narrative, culture, and the human condition, contributing to my literary appreciation and teaching philosophy.

In addition to my MA in German, I also hold an MA in Art History, with a specialized focus on Eastern European art movements from 1959 to 1989. This period was marked by profound political, social, and artistic upheaval. I explored how artists in Central and Eastern Europe responded to the pressures of political regimes, censorship, and the quest for identity during the Cold War, drawing connections between the resilience of these artists and their counterparts in the West.
