About Kate
I am a very enthusiastic, hardworking, and bubbly German graduate from the University of Oxford. Having grown up in Germany and worked in France (aside from taking both for A Level), I really hope I can help you with all of your language-based questions, and in the process, spark your interest in the subject as whole!
The absolute necessity for learning grammar (but my previous dislike for it), means that I have created ways to make even the most mundane aspects of grammar as interesting as possible, while the conversational skills and (very important but often forgotten) little words which I learnt during my childhood in Germany will take your spoken language to the next level!

In our sessions, I like to get to know how you learn best, as every student is different (and there’s no right or wrong way). We’ll focus on your current ability, your interests, and any particular areas you’d like to improve or feel less confident with, so sessions can be tailored to what works best for you.
I think it’s so important first to understand how to do something, but then also explain why, so I will often ask you to explain your thinking as this means you’re much more likely to remember what you’re learning! Doing this also allows us to go through things step by step, so I can explain everything as we go. Please also bring along any questions that you want to go through!
