Hi, I’m Liz, I'm a passionate German tutor with an academic background and real-world experience to help you succeed! I hold a Goethe C1 Zertifikat, studied German at university, and have had the opportunity to immerse myself in German culture through two incredible experiences: the DAAD Winter Language Course (2024) and the IPS-Afrika Scholarship at the German Bundestag. I believe in making language learning engaging, practical, and confidence-boosting—whether you're preparing for exams, improving for work, or learning for personal growth. My lessons are structured yet adaptable, always designed to help you apply German in real-world contexts. My Approach to Teaching German My teaching approach is structured yet adaptable, ensuring that each lesson is tailored to your individual needs. I focus on a balanced mix of grammar, speaking, listening, reading, and writing, depending on what you want to improve. For Matric exam preparation, I work with your existing materials and help you develop effective study strategies to ace the exam. I also emphasize real-world context, ensuring that you don’t just memorize content but gain the tools to use German confidently in everyday situations. My lessons are interactive, engaging, and designed to make learning German enjoyable and rewarding! Languages I Teach In I am a native speaker of English and Afrikaans and have a C1 certificate in German. I’m also an intermediate-level speaker of Dutch and French, so I can assist students who speak these languages if needed. What to Expect from a Lesson Each lesson is interactive, engaging, and customized to fit your learning goals. I provide clear explanations, practical exercises, and personalized feedback to help you build confidence in German. We’ll focus on real-world language use, so you can apply what you learn in everyday conversations, travel, or academic settings. For Matric exam prep, we’ll review your materials together and develop effective study strategies to ensure you fully understand the content and can use German beyond the exam. My goal is to make learning German fun, effective, and stress-free!
