About Katherine
A self-motivated and directional professional, I bring creativity, problem solving skills, communication skills, patience and determination to the work place. With over twenty five years of experience in Arts and Education, the last eleven having been spent as Technical Officer (Photography, Audio & Visual) at the University of New South Wales, Faculty of Art & Design. My professional and personal life both within and outside Australia, has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of the technical support requirements in the ever-developing photographic and audio-visual fields. I work with great integrity, a proactive outlook and a high level of initiative. Armed with a combination of academic knowledge and practical experience, I have been successful in forging productive and solid relationships with colleagues, clients and stakeholders, working collaboratively and with autonomy as required.

My teaching method ranges from being able to instruct students on both analogue and digital techniques in photography. This ranges from beginners black and white photography,use of analogue cameras , exposure,film development, darkroom printing through to instruction on creating technical and conceptual frameworks in individual art practice.
