About Ryan
I worked as a professional film and tv actor from 2002 to 2014, starting when I was just 8 years old, appearing on shows like H2O: Just Add Water, The Starter Wife, and Nightmares and Dreamscapes, as well as several feature films, short films, and ad campaigns. I have been teaching acting since late 2016. I primarily teach kids, and I know what it is like to be a working child actor in the Queensland film industry.
Other than acting, I teach Latin and African dance and have performed around Australia in various styles. I also teach firetwirling and have been featured on television as a fire performer.

Group lessons are my specialty. We will work with scripts, improvisation, self-devised work, and pushing limits. Classes have a strong emphasis on film, and students will be able to have scenes filmed and critiqued so that they can review their performance and see which parts worked and which didn't.
Children's classes are geared around games and fun as a tool to break down barriers and get them comfortable taking creative risks in front of an audience. We still do script work and acting theory, but the class is very high-energy and fun!
Individual classes focus almost entirely on script-work including script analysis, monologues, audition technique, projection, and other core acting skills. These are a great supplement to group classes, but there is no substitute for being able to get up in front of your classmates and perform for a supportive audience.
