About Ben
My number one goal is my students success. I am a Gold Seal CFI/CFII, and former assistant chief flight instructor at a Part 141 flight school, that is very passionate about encouraging a safety culture within the aviation industry; and safety first comes with proper knowledge and education. Training within the aviation industry can be very overwhelming and difficult; my goal is to help students and pilots alike traverse the industry in any way I can!
I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BS in Aviation from Liberty University and have achieved a high pass rate among students I have trained for checkrides. I hold CFI, CFII, & IGI, and have experience in high performance, complex, and turbine-powered aircraft.
I hold my students to a high standard and help them reach levels with their knowledge that places them above their peers. I have devoted myself to continuous learning over the last 2 years of being a flight instructor and enjoy being able to share what I have learned with others.

We will dive into whatever subject we have at hand and figure out what is known. From there, we will take what knowledge we have and build upon it. Foundations are very important; first we will strive to have a very sturdy foundation of knowledge then we will dive into the weeds of the subject we are set to cover.
I also enjoy doing "mock oral" exams that emulate the oral exam that one would take during their checkride in order to find any areas of deficiencies. Doing practice oral exams has always been one of the biggest helps for me when I am preparing for a checkride.
