About Debolina
I am a second year medical student at UCL. I am a kind, confident and patient person with a love for science! Having just gone through the medical application process, the stress and hard work that it takes is still fresh in my mind! From personal experience, having someone who understands the process to guide you is very helpful and reassuring. That is what I want to be for new applicants and I am confident that through achieving all my offers, I have the knowledge and experience to help others to succeed like me.
I teach Biology, Chemistry and Spanish up till GCSE level
I like to teach because it is rewarding to help others to achieve their goals. Also, I’m keen to develop my leadership skills and communication skills through meeting my students and building a rapport with them!
Results/ Scores
GCSE : Nine 9’s and one 8
UCAT: 2800 and Band 1 in Situational Judgment
BMAT: 5.9, 5.4, 3.5A
A level Grades : A* (Biology) A*(Chemistry) A* (Spanish)

I tailor my lessons to each student by asking them which parts of the application process they find hardest. During our lessons we may discuss personal statements, UCAT, BMAT and interviews- whatever the student requires help with!
It is important to me that students take an independent approach to their application so I will guide them with patience and use my experience to prepare them, but encourage them to actively engage with each task.
I go over example personal statements, different ways to structure them and what I think works best.
With the UCAT and BMAT, I give students tips and techniques that can boost scores and ensure a higher score.
Interview practice is key to securing those offer and having spoken to university interviewers on the boards of admission, as well as succeeding in all four of my medical school interviews, I have a good understanding of med schools are looking for: answers with strong content as well as a clear structure. Given that interviews will most likely stay online, I will use my personal experience of these to help students stand out on the screen, with good body language, among other important skills!
