About Cooper
My name is Cooper and I am from Lacey Township, New Jersey. I am a sophomore and I have a 4.5 weighted GPA. I have several leadership positions at my school including Class President, President and Co-Founder of the Speech & Debate Team, Communications Director of Interact Club, and Vice-President of the Surfrider Club. I have experience in volunteer tutoring at my school with peers and friends. I have received a 1320 on my SAT with a 720 on my Math portion of the test. In my free time, I like to travel to new areas, go to the gym, and listen to vinyl records. My tutoring specializes in mathematics, specifically Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 topics. I plan to apply curriculum in a real-world setting that will make students interested to learn about mathematics. I plan to begin by taking a broad look at one specific unit and then closing in on specifics and different ways that equations and graphs can be looked at. These lessons apply for those who are in mathematic courses up to Precalculus. What is different about my method of teaching is to make sure that I point out all mistakes that could happen and prevent students from making those mistakes.
