About Adenay
WHY C.A.T.?
Computer applications Technology is my favourite high school subject. Coding was one of my hobbies before it was introduced into my curriculum.
I loved every second of it and often had to help fellow learners to understand the content whilst the teacher was busy.
I love coding and art and aspire to combine the two into a Web design and development career.
ARE YOU QUALIFIED?
I am a proud alumna of Die Brandwag High School. There I won the Suzanne Harris trophy for the matriculant with the best marks in CAT practical and matriculated with 86%.
I've studied Computer Science for one year and am enrolled in a full-stack web development course.
WHY SHOULD I PICK YOU?
I regularly use the software in the Microsoft office package and I have experience as a graphic designer. I can create powerful visual/audio/kinetic learning lessons catering specifically to the student's needs, to help improve their memory. I make sure to give them the care and attention they need to succeed. I am patient and pay attention to details.
WHY ARE YOU TUTORING?
It is my way of giving back to the community with the knowledge I have attained. I realised there isn't enough help for high school learners who want to pursue a tech career, but there is a high demand in tech jobs. I want to help their odds of getting into a university/college and getting a great job in the I.T. industry.
I also hope to use the money I make tutoring as funding so that I may complete my studies.

My lessons are for computer illiterate learners who want to pass CAT, up to advanced learners who want a distinction. I can teach in English or Afrikaans.
We start with identifying the struggle points and possible dislikes the student may have towards the subject itself. Then find a way to work around those problem areas. Or reintroduce the work as easily digestible chunks of information. I make sure the student understands what is asked, what is expected of them during a practical exam, as well as how to execute tasks presented. We work through actual question papers and not just textbook knowledge. I will make sure that grades, as well as morale, will improve towards CAT.

Details
It's possible to pay per hour. Lessons can last 1-4 hours, breaks excluded. I reside in Uitenhage, South Africa. Please cover the travel expenses if I am required for an at-home lesson. The cab will be a minimum of R40 depending on the distance.
