About Neil
I am Grade 8 standard in piano and have been playing for over 30 years
I am a fully qualified and experienced teacher in a range of disciplines for 15 years
I have taught piano to 5 year olds and upwards for 10 years
I am also a songwriter with music production experience and a network in the Australian music industry.

I have experience of teaching piano to all age groups from early years 4-6 year olds, 7-12 year olds and 13-18 year olds as well as adult learners.
My lessons are tailored to the learning style and age of the student and are therefore flexible in their approach.
Lessons are lighthearted, fun, but with the intent of forming a solid understanding of how to read music, perform music and agreeing to a joint commitment of continuous improvement.
I find that a balance of theory work and playing the piano each lesson helps to anchor down knowledge and practical skills.
