About Gretcheliz
Hello! I’m Gretcheliz, a Licensed Professional Teacher (LPT) and experienced ESL tutor with 2 years of experience teaching learners from different backgrounds.
I teach English and Tagalog, my native language, to children, teenagers, young professionals, and adults. As a professional teacher, I believe that every learner has a different pace and learning style, so I make my lessons friendly, practical, and personalized to each student’s needs and goals.

My Approach as a Tutor
As a tutor, I believe that learning should be simple, engaging, and comfortable for every student. I adjust my teaching style based on the learner’s age, level, needs, and learning pace. I use clear explanations, examples, visual aids, gestures, repetition, and real-life situations to make lessons easier to understand.
Teaching Methods and Techniques
I use a student-centered approach. I encourage students to participate, ask questions, speak, and practice what they learn. For English lessons, I focus on conversation, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and everyday communication. I also use TPR, facial expressions, pictures, and interactive activities, especially when teaching children.
Typical Lesson Plan
A typical lesson starts with a friendly greeting and a short review of the previous lesson. I then introduce the new topic and explain the key vocabulary or concepts using simple examples. Students practice through questions, conversations, activities, or exercises. At the end, I review the lesson and give positive feedback while checking the student’s understanding.

What makes me different is my patience, adaptability, and ability to build a comfortable connection with my students. I believe students learn better when they feel supported and confident. I also know when to move forward when a student already understands a lesson so that classes remain productive and enjoyable.
