About Eleanor

Having recently graduated from Durham University I have realised how much help it would have been to gain inside insight into university level concepts and writing techniques. This is what I would love to help you with!
I am an extremely sporty person who has played netball and cricket a high performance levels, but I will honestly watch any sport.
Personally, I loved school but that does not mean I found it easy all of the time. This is why I am motivated to show people how exciting learning is and to make the process as stress-free and easy as it can be.
During my gap year after graduating last summer, I started the year playing cricket in Melbourne and spent the other half playing Premier grade netball in New Zealand.
I am currently studying for a Masters degree in Environmental Hazards and Risk at Durham University, which introduces my other passion; the study of all things earthquakes, volcanoes, tsunamis and hurricanes!
Although I am a very academic person who loves learning and teaching, I understand the importance of actually enjoying the process of learning. Throughout my extensive academic career I believe I have mastered some tips and tricks to do so, of which I would love to share with you.

About the lesson

My lessons are engaging and exciting using a range of techniques to ensure the highest quality learning. Personally, I am a visual learner who favours a diagram-centric approach to concepts, plans and writing structures. Using this approach I can provide high clear work flows and learning techniques.
My lessons can range between 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the level of detail required foreach individual student.
I have experience working in an academically competitive private school as a specialist learning support teaching assistant, along with tutoring GSCE Geography and Biology.
My lessons are perfect for anyone over 11 years old, with specialist focus on GCSE Sciences, English and Humanities.
Finally, I have recent and extensive expertise on dissertation writing, planning and researching. Similarly, having been accepted twice into the prestigious Durham University, I have special insights into the skills and attributes required to write engaging personal statements and excellent university standard essays.
