About Awab
I'm Awab, a Graduate Entry Medicine student at the University of Limerick, currently training to become a doctor. Before that, I completed a First Class Honors-equivalent degree (2:1) in Human Physiology at University College Cork, where I was awarded Physiology Student of the Year. Alongside my studies, I've completed a hands-on laboratory research project, written a thesis, and presented my work at university research days — so I know first-hand what it takes to go from confused-by-a-textbook to confident-in-an-exam-hall, because I've done it myself, recently, in the exact subjects I'm now teaching.

I'm a Graduate Entry Medicine student at the University of Limerick, with a First Class Honours foundation in Human Physiology from University College Cork.
My approach is built on one core belief: understanding beats memorising, but memorising still matters. Too many students learn science as a list of facts to recall for an exam, which makes the subject forgettable and the exam stressful. I teach the other way around — I want students to understand why something happens, not just what happens, because once you understand the mechanism, the facts stop needing to be memorised; they just make sense.
