Recent college graduate from Cal State Fullerton. For the SAT, I received a 780 out of 800 for the Mathematics portion. I have previously tutored when I was in high school, but it was not with any company, it was just for friends, teammates, or referrals from people I helped before. In my free time, I like to rock climb and spend time with family.

Ensure the student feels comfortable and confident about the subject they're finding challenging. Sometimes, students need to practice extensively because they struggle to focus or fully engage with the material. Other times, they may need guidance to break repetitive mistakes and make consistent progress without feeling stuck. Test anxiety could also be a factor, leading to underperformance due to time pressure, memory lapses, or a lack of self-assurance.
Every student will begin with an introductory session where they (and/or a parent/guardian) can share their perspective on what they find difficult and what they hope to improve. While this initial conversation provides valuable insight, it doesn’t always define the entire lesson plan, as students may face multiple or more nuanced challenges. Throughout each session, I’ll take detailed notes and adapt my approach to better support their growth.
