About Katelin
I've always had a love for Math. It was my favorite subject growing up, and I even went on to study Math in college. I know it's a difficult subject for many people to grasp, but that makes it all the more exciting to teach! I have a very thorough and patient teaching style, and do my best to explain problems in many different ways. I had numerous of my students tell me that my methods were very effective and that they finally understood Math for the first time.

When teaching students, my first goal is to understand the student's learning style so that I can determine how to best explain concepts. My typical style is to walk through the goal or objective of what we're trying to do, then conceptually talk about how to solve a problem. I work through a few examples with students, then have them try to work out a problem by themselves. If they get stuck, I'll provide helpful hints, and then have them try a similar problem again.
