About Jamie
Hi, I'm Jamie! I recently graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor's in Applied Sciences, concentrating in Cybersecurity.
I grew up as the youngest in my family, but with several nieces and nephews of all ages, I've also gotten to be the "older relative" — so I'm used to explaining things to people at every stage of learning.
I've been a tutoring student myself, so I know firsthand what makes a session actually productive versus what falls flat. I'd love the chance to meet you and put that into practice. I'm easygoing, but I won't stop until we get to the right answer together.
Outside of tutoring, I play video games on Xbox and PC, run a home cybersecurity lab, and dabble in clay sculpting.

My approach to tutoring centers on functional analogies that connect new concepts to things students already understand, paired with hands-on practice so the material actually sticks rather than just being memorized. I want students to leave each session not just knowing the answer, but understanding why it's the answer.
